This hopes to be a train of bits and pieces about the history of Colne and the surrounding area based largely on primary source material.

Hi I am interested in your blog and connections with Colne. In particular with the St Johns Ambulance and the Auxiliary Hospital. I noticed you have linked to my blog on Elizabeth Taylor (nee Rushworth). I am at present doing a unit at Uni on Museums, and objects, and using Elizabeth’s journal which I was lucky enough to have passed down to me. I would be really interested in an additional information on the St Johns Ambulance, Dr Dickey, and others connected with the St Johns. Also anything related to the Auxiliary Hospital that was set up in WWI. I have a number of photos and letters relating to Elizabeth which if you are interested I would be happy to share.
regards
Diane
